Butterfly Reflection
I really knew from the start that making a butterfly out of stockings is really difficult. What I didn't know is that involved a lot of time, creativity and most important of all, a lot of PATIENCE.. doing the frame or shaping the wire into a butterfly already involves a lot of patience and creativity. Actually, putting the stockings into the wire involves more patience. I really needed the help of other people when I was doing my butterfly... We needed to use dye to color it, but since I didn't have any dye, I only used food color. I really needed to be careful when I was putting color to the stockings because the color easily scatters... Though making it was really tiring, still I really enjoyed the whole process....

Picture Frame Reflection
I really thought making a picture frame was very easy. Well, my thoughts are wrong! In making a picture frame one must have the perfection, the patience and most of all the CREATIVITY. I really didn't have a lot of ideas on how to make my frame beautiful and interesting to see.. Maybe that's because I didn't have many materials that could've help me think of ideas to make my frame beautiful. I still enjoyed the process of making my frame because my friends were there helping me think of some ideas to make it more beautiful. So indeed making my frame served as my bonding moment with my friends. Even though my frame didn't result to be that beautiful, still it's elegant in its simple way.

-GLOBAL WARMING-
On Feb. 2, 2007, the United Nations scientific panel studying climate change declared that the evidence of a warming trend is "unequivocal," and that human activity has "very likely" been the driving force in that change over the last 50 years. The last report by the group, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, in 2001, had found that humanity had "likely" played a role. The addition of that single word "very" did more than reflect mounting scientific evidence that the release of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases from smokestacks, tailpipes and burning forests has played a central role in raising the average surface temperature of the earth by more than 1 degree Fahrenheit since 1900. It also added new momentum to a debate that now seems centered less over whether humans are warming the planet, but instead over what to do about it. In recent months, business groups have banded together to make unprecedented calls for federal regulation of greenhouse gases. The subject had a red-carpet moment when former Vice President Al Gore's documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth," was awarded an Oscar; and the Supreme Court made its first global warming-related decision, ruling 5 to 4 that the Environmental Protection Agency had not justified its position that it was not authorized to regulate carbon dioxide. The greenhouse effect has been part of the earth's workings since its earliest days. Gases like carbon dioxide and methane allow sunlight to reach the earth, but prevent some of the resulting heat from radiating back out into space. Without the greenhouse effect, the planet would never have warmed enough to allow life to form. But as ever larger amounts of carbon dioxide have been released along with the development of industrial economies, the atmosphere has grown warmer at an accelerating rate: Since 1970, temperatures have gone up at nearly three times the average for the 20th century. The latest report from the climate panel predicted that the global climate is likely to rise between 3.5 and 8 degrees Fahrenheit if the carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere reaches twice the level of 1750. By 2100, sea levels are likely to rise between 7 to 23 inches, it said, and the changes now underway will continue for centuries to come.

Complete strangers at first,

I belong to a typical family,
Who shows love to one another daily.
We have these times of endless laughter,
And silent times due to serious matter.
All of us have differences,
Allowing us to approach one another for reference.
Still we share these similarities,
That shouldn't be asked for any clarities.
We really express ourselves when we're happy,
While we really try to hide ourselves when we're lowly.
We as much as possible solve problems together,
Still there are times we care not to bother.
All of us have this one trait,
That others may hate.
We are really keen observers,
Which means we judge physically, others.
Despite of problems, we still have time to laugh,
'Cause taking things seriously will only make things rough.
We really love one another,
Just not that obvious to others.
We, to be happy just keep our relationship tight,
So that everything between us will be alright.
